I have managed to get my story in early for once. Thanks go to Rochelle for picking up the baton of Friday Fictioneers and to Rich Voza who supplied the photo prompt for this week. You can read more Friday Fictioneers if you follow this link
I know my way around.
The door I need is at the end of the corridor.
I get a call whenever he’s in town, although he only ever wants to see me in the afternoon. He is a nice guy and I am used to odd requests.
There is the usual glass of champagne and a beautifully wrapped gift waiting for me; the dress he has chosen is laid out across the back of the chair. I change quickly.
I drink my champagne, put his gift in my bag then walk through the doorway to ‘Santa’s Grotto’.
Not my kind of jolly or Santa, but you did a good job with an unusual take on the prompt. 🙂

A bit out of my comfort zone with this, but I wanted to try a different approach.
Thank you for reading and comments are always much appreciated.

Ugh, I left feeling a little dirty. A nice description of a real terror, at least in my mind. I am rooting for her.

I mentioned earlier that I was out of my comfort zone writing this, It is really interesting to see how most people have interpreted the story the same way that you did. Thanks for visiting and taking the time to comment.

Dear Dee,
Your fanciful and well realized story is already one of my favorite ever holiday tales. Needed to be told and you did it well. ‘Sants’s Grotto’. Love it.

Dear Doug
Thank you. I tried a completely different approach this time – out of my comfort zone really. I was interested to see how folk would interprete the story and most thought of a “naughty Santa” when they had the option to see a girl, working for an agency, taking up her usual Christmas job working in th afternoons for “Santa” in his grotto in the toy store
Good to hear from you as always
Dee.

Hi Dee,
I kind of knew Santa got around. Glad you outed him as a playboy. Great change of direction right at the end. Well done. Ron

I am a little confused here. Is he the Santa or the guy who called him the Santa?

I like it. Subtlely done. You convey exactly what’s going on without being too obvious.

Santa, like everyone else, has a side no one knows about. How’d you get to know him? How old is he really? Can I get an autograph?
Interesting take on the prompt, and on Bad Santa …

Ah! I see now where people said two of us had gone along the same track. A gift and a dress! Hope she gets paid as well. 😦 Original take on the prompt (if I do say so myself.)

Reads like the weird demands of a dictator. I suppose Santa is kind of that…

Nice take. I wasn’t seeing Santa as the John when reading but now do. I guess I needed the comments if that is, indeed, the way you meant it.

A new dress or two, Chanel #5 perfume, gold jewelry, Godiva truffles…Caribbean cruises….Hey, why not? Every woman should have a “sugar daddy” Santa at least once in her life. Makes for great memories and flash short stories.
