There was no-one else around when I took this photo of a path onto South Beach. I walked for a while and sat on the beach, watching the birds wheeling and diving and the clouds floating by and thought it was just heavenly. I think of it still and remember the feeling of peace and solitude.
‘I never found a companion that was so companionable as solitude’
Henry David Thoreau
That just sounds heavenly. I do love beaches, and it’s great to find one that you can enjoy completely on your own!

It was, I couldn’t believe I had it to myself – well for about 15 mins anyway.
Thanks for stopping by 🙂

Beautiful! It reminds me of “my” beach, minus the palm trees, of course.

Nice angle, and surely I love the shadow as well. They give some sense of solitude not only to the surroundings, but also to ‘the awaiting journey’ ahead. Well done. 🙂
