A visit to Saint-Pons-de-Thomières … a small, busy town in the Herault area of southern France. It’s Abbey was founded in 936 so there’s lots of history and it’s where you will also find the source of the river Jaur.
Really enjoyed walking around the old city of Beziers, loads of history, great architecture and lots of shops. The Cathedral and Pont Vieux A street in the Old Town
Feeling fed up with all the BREXIT chat, I wanted something to lighten my mood and brighten my day… and I found these. Hope you like them too.
On our visit to India, we stopped at the Dhobi Ghat laundry in Mumbai. These photos give you an idea of how big the place is and the amount of laundry processed there each and every day. The men who carry out the washing live in the huts you can see covered with corregated panels, […]
The weather has been glorious these past nine days, really didn’t expect it at this time of year. Nîmes was quieter than on our last visit but the amphitheatre still draws the visitors. The couple in front of us in the queue were from Indiana, the people behind us, from Toronto. At 2000 years old, […]

I’ve seen two of the four…Columbus Circle, when I worked in NYC ages ago…and…Barcelona, when my family and I cruised the Mediterranean a few years ago. Both big cities…with similarities…and differences. But undeniably fabulous…both! 🙂

Do you travel a lot? I admire people who do. I like visiting other places, but as I age the attraction lessens. I’m becoming more and more of a homebody.

I don’t travel as much now as I used to do, but we still manage to get in a few trips each year. I’ve found that travelling does get harder as you get older, I find my tolerance of waiting in line has diminished greatly and some of the staff are down right rude or think everyone over the age of 60 must be deaf, or daft or both! I enlighten them frequently…..

ha, ha. Good for you. And you’ve said exactly how I feel about the travails of traveling. For me, it’s especially difficult to sit the 5 hours or so on a plane, while wondering when I will need to use the bathroom. I have to gauge my intake of food and water.
And airplane seats…oh, my poor, aching body. 😦
