I posted a photo of a view across the lake in Jasper, in a recent weekly photo challenge. As I looked through the photos from that visit, I remembered the beauty that surrounded us everywhere we went on that holiday and some of the great sights that we had seen and I thought I’d share some of them here. Hope you like them as much as we did.

Weekly photo challenge – Windows
This first shot is of the Gridiron building in New York, it seems so fragile especially taken from this angle.
This is a detail from one of the beautiful stained glass windows in the cathedral in Prague which I particularly liked. The detail and the colours are so fresh, just breathtaking.
On a visit to Spain, we drove up to Ronda and this is a view across the gorge.
Pictures of possibility…
Weekly Photo Challenge – Sunset
This photo holds a special memory for me. It was taken a few years ago, at a time when I wasn’t sure which path to take. I took some time out to be on my own, to try to make up my mind what I wanted to do. The sunset was just so magical and being near the sea lifted my spirits, made me feel calm and able to make my decision.

Paths leading here and there
I love beaches. I love winding pathways that could lead to the start of an adventure or a leisurely walk, you’re never quite sure just what you’ll find at the end. This one led onto South Beach in Miami, one lovely sunny day in early March.
Another March day, this time on Ile de Re and a path that led eventually to a little harbour and a large, steaming mug of hot chocolate. Delicious!!
Finally, this one is closer to home, wild flowers from a path behind my sister’s house. Aren’t they just stunning?
Hope you enjoy my photographs too
