Some photos that say “Forward” to me.
The path to the beach was so inviting, I just had to walk over it. The road out of Jasper was amazing, we drove for miles and didn’t see another car. We saw a bear and a few elks but nothing else for mile after mile; the scenery was just awesome we rode in silence for most of the journey. Our holiday to the southern region of Sardinia was very enjoyable, we explored ancient ruins which overlooked the sea, and visited the island of Sant’Antioco, where we found the deserted street.

Splendidly solitary Spinalonga, sunset, silvery sea

We rented a house on Ile de Re. We were there out of season and had a lovely holiday recharging our batteries. Our house was charming and this is a view from our room which overlooked the square. The trees were just coming into leaf, it was quite cool so no-one sat outside the little cafe; the locals huddled inside dipping warm croissants into steaming bowls of hot chocolate. Most mornings we joined them.
This is a view through the trees in Butchart Gardens to the boats in the little bay beyond
This view is up a flight of steps in Taormina, just loved the colours
..also just realised this is post number 100 !
Simple setting from a summer wedding………
and a simple decoration in a house we rented by the sea in winter
This is the beautiful view that greeted me on our first morning at Jasper Lodge. I just sat there, sipping my coffee and looking. There was not a sound except for the water lapping the edge of the lake. Peaceful………..
Happy New Year everyone, I wish you health and happiness for 2012
At the moment here in Wales, we have a mixture of sleet and hail, it’s bouncing off the hearth as I type, but thankfully no snow as yet. I intended to go out and take photos for the ‘Winter’ photo challenge, but everywhere looks so drab and miserable I just couldn’t bring myself to take any. So I decided to post these from 2011 as they say “Winter” but they are not dull and drab.

This first shot is of the Gridiron building in New York, it seems so fragile especially taken from this angle.
This is a detail from one of the beautiful stained glass windows in the cathedral in Prague which I particularly liked. The detail and the colours are so fresh, just breathtaking.
On a visit to Spain, we drove up to Ronda and this is a view across the gorge.
